'I aim to be a cancer survivor' |
|
In a moving speech read out by her sister Dannii at a Caner Research UK
bash, Kylie vowed to beat her breast cancer.
“I am sorry I cannot be with you this evening.
Much as I would have loved to share this occasion with you all, my
doctors have advised against it at this stage of my treatment.
“I am currently a cancer patient. I aim to be a cancer survivor. This is
only possible with the incredible work done by so many within the field:
doctors, specialists, scientists and volunteers. I have been on a crash
course of learning in the last few months and now have first hand
experience of how vital awareness, funding and support is.”
